The magnesium metal-powder which is produced in HanaAMT reveals the following unique characteristics.

Magnesium Powder

Atomized powder is manufactured by melting magnesium with a minimum purity of 99.8% and atomizing molten metal under the protection of an inert atmosphere.
A spherical powder is produced which is then screened and blended to customer specifications. By-down products, powders which pass through a particular sieve, are readily available. Powders available in narrow particle size bands, as required by stringent military specifications, demonstrate HANAamt's excellent size classification control. Atomized powder is used in many applications because of the following unique characteristics: spherical shape gives an accurate and uniform size distribution; superior flow characteristics enable high percentages of atomized powder to be mixed with other materials and still retain good flow characteristics and low viscosities. Superior flow control is achieved with the uniform spherical shape of atomized powders. Higher packing density reduces the size and net weight of shipping containers. Safety is increased due to smaller quantities of entrapped fine dust.

The magnesium metal-powder which is produced in HANAamt reveals the following unique characteristics.
1. Spherical powder is produced which is then screened and blended to customer specifications.
2. Atomized powder exhibits excellent Fluidity and is easy to mix with other materials and still retain good flow characteristics and low viscosities.
3. It exhibits higher packing density.
4. It has superior stability.
USE Fine and atomized powders are widely used by the military industry in a range of flare and ordnance applications, notably decoy flares and illumination flares. Decoy flares made from magnesium burn white hot and the intense heat of the pyrotechnic candle consumes the flare housing.
Such flares are designed to defeat a missile's infrared tracking capability, thus making the use of magnesium instrumental in the protection of military helicopters and aircraft. Ground illumination flares are designed to descend by parachute and illuminate ground terrain and targets.
